Data deletion instructions

Last updated 8 November 2026

You can remove CeriseSocial’s access to your social accounts at any time, and ask us to delete all of your data. Deletion is completed within 30 days. Questions? Write to desk@cerisesocial.com.

Disconnect an account in CeriseSocial

Owners and admins can disconnect a Facebook Page or Instagram account at any time:

  1. Sign in to CeriseSocial and open the workspace the account belongs to.
  2. Go to Accounts.
  3. Choose the account and select Disconnect.

The access token for that account is deleted immediately, and CeriseSocial can no longer publish to it. Scheduled posts for that account are cancelled. The record of past posts stays in your workspace history until you delete your account.

Remove CeriseSocial from Facebook or Instagram

You can also remove our access from the platform side. The menu names may vary slightly as Meta updates its apps.

Facebook

  1. Open Facebook and go to Settings & privacy, then Settings.
  2. Open Business integrations.
  3. Find CeriseSocial, select it, and choose Remove.

Instagram

  1. Open Instagram and go to Settings and activity.
  2. Open Website permissions, then Apps and websites.
  3. Under Active, find CeriseSocial and choose Remove.

Removing access this way stops CeriseSocial from publishing. To have the data we already hold deleted as well, follow the steps below.

Ask us to delete all your data

  1. Email desk@cerisesocial.com from the address linked to your CeriseSocial account, with the subject Delete my data.
  2. Tell us whether you want to delete your whole account, or only the data for a specific connected Facebook Page or Instagram account.
  3. We will confirm your request within 7 days, and may ask you to verify that you own the account.

If you are the owner of an organization, deleting your account deletes the organization, all of its workspaces, and the data of its team members within it.

Posts already published

Deleting your CeriseSocial data does not remove posts that are already live on Facebook, Instagram or other platforms. Those posts belong to your pages, and you can delete them directly on each platform. If you would like CeriseSocial to delete them for you, do this from the post in CeriseSocial before you delete your account, where the platform allows it.

Confirmation

When deletion is complete, we will email you a confirmation. If you have any questions about the status of your request, reply to that email or write to us.
